There is magic all around us. In the busyness of our lives, we forget to notice it. Magic is readily available to us if we access our childlike wonder when seeing things in the world. In order to feel the magic, we just need to stop and notice, and with wonder let the feelings rise up!

Notice the Beauty

There is magic within beauty. The next time you are in nature, open your eyes, ears, and heart. Notice the feelings that come up within you as you view the beauty of nature. Feel the awe as you take in the sight of an impressive mountain peak. Feel the wonder as you see a beautiful sunset over the ocean. Feel the power of a waterfall pounding into a stream. These feelings open you up to the magic within beauty.

Notice the Love

There is magic within love. The next time you are with people you love, open your eyes, ears, and heart. Notice the feelings that come up within as you take in the reverence of love. Feel the sweetness of a baby’s smile. Feel the peacefulness of an older couple, sitting in silence on a bench holding hands. Feel the unity of a group of people celebrating a win. These feelings open you up to the magic within love.

Notice your community

There is magic within your community. The next time you are in a large group working in unity to achieve a goal, open your eyes, ears, and heart. Notice the feelings that come up within, as you see people working in harmony. Feel the love as several people work in service of the community. Feel the unity when praising in church. Feel the connection of individuals united with a common goal. These feelings open you up to the magic within the community.

Notice the music

There is magic within music. The next time you are listening to your favorite song, open your eyes, ears, and heart. Notice the feelings that come up within, as you hear the words and the melody. Feel the happiness rise up within as the music touches your heart. Feel the rhythm of the beat, as you let your body move. Feel the nostalgia as you access memories brought up through the music. These feelings open you up to the magic within music.

How many other things in your life speak to you through magic?
